Today is a day I have waited a long time for, the day my Xbox One is no longer the size of a VCR from 1989.

Compared with the original Xbox One, we have a few key differences. Most good, but not all.

    Pros vs. Original Xbox One:
[+] 40% smaller! And yes, the difference is very noticeable (see my comparison pictures)
[+] 4K output. Not as big of a deal to most people as 4K adoption is not huge yet, and it's only really for video/Blu-ray (games are upscaled)
[+] The side USB port has been moved from the left side to the front, which is great for space saving (if another device is to the left) and less damaging if someone trips over the USB cable.
[+] No gloss finish. They did get rid of the gloss in a minor pre-S refresh, but I'm happy to see it is completely gone. As always, glossy finishes look great on day one but do NOT age well (easily scuffed and scratched).
[+] Built-in power supply. To me, this is HUGE (reverse pun intended). The old power supply added an unreasonable amount of heft to the already oversized console. It is especially great if you like to pack and travel with your Xbox since that's one less brick to carry around, and makes it much easier and cheaper to have spare 'travel' power cables so you don't have to remove your main cables when traveling.
[+] Hardware upgrade. In addition to the 4K hardware upgrade (HDMI 1.4 vs HDMI 2.0), there is more processing power available for HDR, though to be honest I'm not sure how much I care about that. The real hardware upgrade won't be until Project Scorpio in 2017.
[*] Higher capacity. You can now choose from models ranging from 500GB to 2TB! I definitely recommend no less than 1TB considering how quickly these games eat up hard drive space.

The Nintendo Wii is the most inexpensive of the current generation of gaming consoles. It provides motion sensing controllers and 480p graphics. We tested the Wii before its launch day (I'm a game reviewer), and we had our own unit in our home the morning of launch day. Here are our findings.

The Wii is designed around a menu of "channels". There is of course the game-playing channel, where the Wii will play any Wii or GameCube game. Simply load the disc in and go. There is a Mii channel where you set up a profile and avatar to connect to all your game playing. The Photos channel lets you look at photos on your TV. Other channels for news, weather, and online shopping require an interent connection; the news and weather were not actually working at launch time.

The system does NOT have a regular network cable port, which both the PS3 and XBox 360 have. Instead, it works with built in wireless or with a USB network adapter. I am a firm proponent of wireless - less clutter! So I am thrilled that they offer wireless automatically. With the PS3, you have to pay extra for the 60 gig unit to get this built in. The XBox 360 requires extra hardware as well.

It's hard to generalize gameplay on any console - it really depends on what games you buy. That being said, the comes-with-it software of Sports is really quite fun and is about as basic as you can get. You swing at baseballs, lob tennis balls, bowl, box and play golf. A "fitness" mode puts you through a variety of tasks and then calculates your fitness age, sort of like how Brain Age keeps track of your mental age. If you did both every day, you could aim to be as fit mentally and physically as possible!

Tried to save a few bucks going with a third party distributor once, then I decided to buy a few of these brand new licensed remotes, this is definitely the way to go. On top of the fact that these licensed remotes actually work consistently and they don't ever break, Nintendo has made quite a few neat improvements since the original Wii remotes:
-First off, Wii Motion Plus is built in, which is really nice.
-Batteries last for hours upon hours upon hours (though I'd still recommend buying rechargeable batteries.)
-The grips now have these little grooves in them which makes them very comfortable to hold onto.
-The button for syncing is now found on the outside of the remote, so you don't have to remove the backing to sync it with your Wii/Wii U
-And the remotes come with those rubber grips, which personally, I find a hassle and would rather just not bother with, but other users might find them to be pretty neat.

So if you need a remote or a few extra remotes, just splurge the extra dollars and go with something licensed, there's much more value in it.

I would have to say that the Playstation 4 is one of the best if not the best new gen console. I have both this and the xbox one and I have to say that the Playstation blows the xbox right out of the water. The PS4 is easier to use, more organized and is overall faster. I will say that it does heat up pretty fast and the battery life of the controller goes pretty fast if you play for more than 4 hours. But aside from that the Playstation 4 is awesome! Since this is the Black Ops III bundle I will also add that Black Ops III is probably one of the best games I've played in a while, the campagin is quite long compared to other games and the multiplayer online is good as well, better than Advanced Warfare's. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about getting a new gen console.

First off, don't buy this from these price gouging people. They are selling it for almost double the all ready high $800 manufacturers price.

That being said, go try one. My wife pre-ordered a couple and I was a bit out off by the price, but now that we have them... It is so much better than we even hoped it would be.
It's hard to describe how immersive this is. The controls are intuitive for all the games I've tried, not just the demo game from steam, which is all the first reviewer describes.
There are about 60 games on the steam store as of May 8th. I'm guessing, but it's an educated guess. Not going to go count when I could be fighting monsters and actually having to block by putting my sword in the path of the enemies weapons in Vanishing Realm. We're talking full on sword fights with skeletons where you have to get through their defenses and block their attacks all while you're deflecting arrows and fireballs from other enemies. Can't believe how well this works during launch week and there tons more games on the horizon. IBM is developing Sword Art Online. SAO is really going to happen. Nerdgasm all over. (I know we don't have full dive nerve gears...yet, but VR MMOS are coming. What gamer doesn't want that?)

    Cons:
-The headphones are a pain to put in, but work very well. Easily fixed if you have your own headset for gaming.
-The cord is something you have to be aware of. Tripping over it and all that. Couple hooks in the ceiling and a bungy cord takes care of it.
-It does get kinda hot and sweaty inside when you're jumping around hacking and slashing. Not sure how you'd fix this short of cooling fans built in to the unit. Really the only real con I've found aside from the price and it doesn't detract much from how much fun I'm having.
