Edition: Back to the Future Doc Brown Fun Pack Verified Purchase
To be clear, I'm rating this five stars mainly because of nostalgia and the cool factor, less because of the abilities this set gives you in LEGO Dimensions.

First, yes, Doc is voiced by Christopher Lloyd. They brought him back for the dialogue. It's plain that for the parts that really count, LEGO and Traveler's Tales went the extra mile.

As for the abilities Doc brings to the table, he has the Fix It skill, can use technology, can hack into terminals, and he has a drone. And that's really it. So he's not a character that's going to bring a lot to your skills arsenal, although he's only one of two characters with a drone (the Cyberman is the other). But that's not really the point. I mean, it's Doc Brown!

The train is similarly stunted - it does do the time travel bit, and does work on accelerator switches, but the DeLorean also does those things so the train is redundant. That is, redundant if you're only looking at this set in terms of game abilities.

But that's too narrow a view for me. I'm a big fan of the movies (well, except the second one) so having this fun pack and the BTTF Level Pack is great. From that perspective, I think this is a good add to the LEGO Dimensions library.
